The early years of the nineties saw me exclusively devoting my time to the creation of movie soundtracks and, apart from some occasional private songwriting and singing, my work evolved now completely in the realm of instrumental music. And through luck and providence I have accomplished to this day in 2003 the music to more then fifty full-feature films. In 1997 I joined forces with the remarkable German director Hartmut Griesmayr, with whom I have since finished more then twenty films, some of them featuring soundtracks, which I consider the best of my work. At about the same time the exceptionally gifted musician, composer, arranger and producer Martin Kälberer teamed up with me and it turned out to be a remarkable fruitful partnership. We will hear some of the more outstanding results of this partnership in the chapters to come.

In the very little off-hours of my filmwork, I continued with my experimental work of rhythm compositions, I called this phase THE YAYADANCES. So far I have finished nine works, of which the one presented here, titled number 2, should give you a first glimpse. More will soon be on its way.

At this point it seems only fair to comment on some people behind the curtain, most notably Heike Niedan and Karin Freibuchner, who have both gone through the painful experience of getting me to the point at which I was willing to take a close look at my work and give them permission to bring it into a presentable form. A form, by the way, which again is the work of a magician and master named Oliver Kälberer.

Okay, so much to some of the more private and personal aspects of all this.
